The experts:

Dr. med.vet Michael Hiestand

Dr. Michael Hiestand has over 30 years of clinical experience, especially in the fields of surgery, wound healing and orthopaedics in pets and horses, and continues to work in his own pet practice near Zurich.

In addition, Dr. Hiestand has been a member of the management board of the ActivCell Group, the Swiss manufacturer of the PetCellpen® and EquCellpen® cold plasma devices, since 2020. In his role as head of the veterinary department, he leads the scientific collaboration with renowned research institutes to advance research and development in the field of cold plasma therapy.

In both roles, he has gained extensive clinical experience and case studies in cold plasma therapy in pets and horses, working with various specialists. He has therefore presented on this topic at several international veterinary congresses.

 

Dipl. ACVD & EBVS® Dr.med.vet Claudia Nett

Dr. med. vet. Claudia Nett-Mettler graduated from the University of Berne, Switzerland in 1997, and after completing the residency in veterinary dermatology at the Louisiana State University, USA, has received her specialist diploma from the ACVD in 2003 and from the ECVD in 2005. Since then, she has been working and researching non stop in veterinary dermatology, as a consultant in Zug and Zürich, Switzerland and regularly lectures at national and international scientific meetings.

She’s the founder and clinical director of the veterinary dermatology practice: vetderm.ch, fully dedicated to dermatology and allergology in animals. Claudia Nett has been working with argon plasma since 2019 and currently she uses PetCellpen atmospheric cold plasma device in her practice and in research.
